Commissioned by the Valencian Institute of Music, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Ensems Contemporary Music Festival, Valencia 2003.

Premiere on May 28, 2003 in the Teatro Talía, Valencia, Enrique Palomares, Violin.

Composed for Solo Violin with Real-time Sound Transformation, it takes this title from the first verse of the book "Inferno" from Dante's Divine Comedy. Its chromatic character is an extension of the last subjects or materials that I am working on where the main interest is the continuity of tension and elongation of the melodic line maintaining an expansion of the climax, if not its dissolution.

The electronic transformation in real time is carried out according to a pre-programmed device made up of an echo plus reverberation, a harmonizer and a spatialization system . This approach tries to maintain a full complex sound through a double polarity between the presence of the violin's real sound and its resonance in an always imaginary space.
